Former CIA Ray McGovern: “The ‘Russian Hack’ is an Inside Job.”

The official "Russia Hacked the DNC" story is weak. But - there's another likely explanation for this;

The Key Event

July 5, 2016: In the early evening, Eastern Daylight Time, someone working in the EDT time zone with a computer directly connected to the DNC server or DNC Local Area Network, copied 1,976 MegaBytes of data in 87 seconds onto an external storage device. That speed is many times faster than what is physically possible with a hack.

It's called "lateral exploitation". You don't always crack a network by pwning the servers. Many times, you pwn a workstation and/or user account first. Then use that user's credentials to access resources on the server.

So.. what could easily have happened here is - an attacker (local or remote) gained access to a workstation. Then used the users creds to copy the files from the server to the workstation across the local network - an action that could easily attain the speeds seen here. This would also create the long timestamps we're seeing.

Then, the attacker archived (tar, zip, whatever) the desired files into one bundle for transport (via internet or usb drive), preserving the individual file timestamps.

This is not only a "possible" scenario - it's a common and highly likely one.
