Former employer is using business credit card under my name.

Are you listed as an authorized signer or the guarantor/owner? Authorized signer means although it was a business they couldn’t get business credit so they signed up for a personal credit card and added everyone as an authorized signer. You aren’t liable for the debt and it should, should being the key word not affect your credit. The credit agencies have sometimes included the outstanding balance in your debt/total available debt but that’s in error. It’s unlikely they are actually using your credit per se. my guess is card was never cancelled I’m error, not out of intention. Call the issuer they’ll get it cancelled and you can also call/email the credit bureaus and have any account listed as authorized signer removed; however, if it’s paid in full monthly and has a low debt/limit your score may decrease.
