Former Facebook exec: I think we have created tools that are ripping apart the social fabric of how society works. The short-term, dopamine-driven feedback loops we’ve created are destroying how society works. No civil discourse,no cooperation;misinformation, mistruth. You are being programmed (2017)

Amen.

I love learning new things and Reddit has been one of my best discoveries in the last decade for learning new things. Things I didn't even know existed. I love when someone links something in a subreddit I had never heard of but it's right up my alley - and boom, I have a new hobby or new interest.

There is so much information and people demand sources to substantiate things and you leave a thread more informed than you did coming in. I love talking to people and being able to have an opinion on things that I never would have without Reddit.

Yeah, we might get stuck in a dopamine-loop every other time but for me personally Reddit has enriched my life remarkably.
