Former Marine squares up with Black Lives Matter

Saying that on its own would be one thing, but saying it at a BLM rally is pretty confrontational and (IMHO) downright stupid.

This was a "BLM rally"? According to what source? The guy could have just as well been standing on that corner all day. The fact that they told him to "hold up the sign" tells me they probably drove past, saw the sign, and decided to pull over. If this was really a "rally", where are all the people? Seems like only three people talked during the video...that's it. Don't get me wrong, I'm not the defending the guy, but further context is definitely needed.

BLM is trying to convey a message that cops have an "us vs. them" mentality, and that's what leads to unjustifiable abuse against black citizens.

And by doing so they only promote that very same "us vs. them" mentality.

To fire back with "police lives matter" is the exact kind of mentality that they are talking about.

Sounds like complete hypocrisy to me. Essentially; "oh when we say "BLM", it's totally not associated with pushing an "us vs. them" mentality - but when if you say "Police Lives Matter" it totally is pushing an "us vs. them" mentality. All very interesting..

It draws a line in the sand and says "you either side with BLM or you side with police!"

Make no mistake, that line was drawn long ago by these "protesters".

So to respond with "police lives matter" or "blue lives matter" is crazy because it actually asks people to do so.

But when people say "Black Lives Matter" it doesn't have the same connotation? You're going off YOUR view of the actual moment, and the phrases associated, but you also must realize that many of the supporters of this movement don't share the same views as you.

It also seems to validate all that unjustified violence and corruption because, hey, being a cop is a dangerous job!

Just like those who have said in this very thread that it is "more dangerous to be black in America, than white"...so does that justify the disproportionate crime and murder rates in primarily minority communities? Double standards here...

Besides, how the hell did you get that from the phrase "Police Lives Matter"? So saying that automatically validates any wrong-doing that police officers have done while on the job? Really??? Are you a mind-reader?
