Maureen isn’t Irish. She may have Irish heritage, but as far as I can find online, she wasn’t born here nor as she ever lived here. Having Irish heritage doesn’t make you Irish, and I wish she wouldn’t try to excuse her actions because of her heritage.

Also, while there were Irish slaves throughout history, that happened centuries ago in the past, it wasn’t to the scale that some people think it was, and has no links to how Irish people are nowadays. That alone gives me a fair enough idea that she has absolutely no idea about Irish history!

I’m Irish and I just get pissed off when Irish Americans use their ancestry to excuse their racist behaviour.
