They explained where the money is coming from, but it makes the story even crazier. The name of the account is "Pup" because the 1st person to tweet from that account went by that nickname. His story was that his grandparents were his only family and died recently. They were "old money," meaning they were beyond filthy rich. He was the only member of the family left, so he got everything. He was talking with Anna online, even video chatting with her. She asked for his help because his grandfather worked for the CIA for years, then left to build a company that trained private security or counter intelligence... something like that.
Pup tweeted on his own for awhile, then he decided he needed help so he "hired" a guy he gave the nickname of "Kit." Then after the 2 tweeted for awhile Kit decided to bring in some help, a guy he called "Duck." Pretty soon he had brought in most of his whole team to work on the "case." They only have had the 3 people tweet to keep Anna from being confused... So fucking ridiculous.
The story got weirder though. A month ago Pup told his full story. It was basically that he had thought he was talking with Anna online, on the phone, and over video chat. It looked like her, it sounded like her, it was her as far as anyone could tell. That's how he was able to hire Kit, by showing him the video and letting him hear the phone calls where it was clear it was Anna. Then Kit told the story and said they looked into it and found that everything was faked by someone. They think it was the guy they call "Stan." They said something about a new program that's very top secret that can make it look and sounded exactly like a person over video chat or phone calls. It can fool just about anyone supposedly. This amazing technology that I've NEVER heard of! Wow! How convenient is that?
That's why "Kit" decided to take the case. Because the video chats and phone calls were Anna asking Pup for help to protect her from the stalkers. So he spent a ton of money to do that, only to find out it wasn't really Anna. He would have walked away, but again, conveniently his grandparents raised him to not turn your back on someone that needs help. Now he's paying Kit and his whole team because even though he found out it wasn't really Anna asking for his help, he knows that Stan and his guys are real... he can't turn his back on her, so he's going to keep paying Kit to protect her and try to find this mysterious evidence they keep talking about to get them arrested.
It's insane. He's insane. The writing is so different between the different characters that I think it might actually be a few different people tweeting. Then there's some guy named Victor that they call "vicki." He's another insane person that thinks Anna was killed or incapacitated in 2009 and was replaced by 3 doubles that pretend to be her. It's the Illuminati that are behind it of course!
The Pup guy is the scariest 1 to me. He's been following for a year at least, and he's mentioned her being in places long before it was ever online that she was at that place. I think the person is actually following her and might have a few people helping, but I don't think "Stan" exists.
Let's say Pup is real. Let's say his grandparents were filthy rich and died. He got everything. He's obsessed with Anna, maybe someone screwed with him and made him think he was really talking to her. Or maybe he's just insane and obsessed with her. He hires "Stan" and his team to stalk Anna. Then he pays someone to make it look and sound like Anna talked to him. Then he ask Kit for help. So he goes out and hires this Kit guy. Kit takes the case based on those videos and audio, so now he's following Anna around, adds his team to help, and now they're basically protecting Anna from guys that Pup hired.
Just to be clear, I don't believe that or anything. I've been having fun coming up with theory's to explain the whole story since it's such an insane twitter account. It's fun for me, but I'd bet it's pretty scary for Anna. I do think someone is following her in real life and not just online. They've known where she is, where she's staying, restaurants she's gone to, before it's ever online. It could be 1 guy, could be 2, 3, 10, but I think there's someone following her in real life. Hopefully this isn't the reason she hasn't been online lately. It would be a shame for her to stop tweeting or Instagramming because of this. 1 of the great things about her is her connection with the fans, so if this leads to her no longer connecting with us... it would really suck. And if these guys are truly insane and not just trolling, then they're not going to stop following her for any reason.
I don't know what the hell she can do, but I hope they wake up and stop what they're doing. A pipe dream I'm sure. The story goes on and on, it's been really insane, and I hate to admit it, but entertaining at times. It's just so insane that I can't help but laugh at some of it. I don't think Anna would feel the same way though.
