Found one of Clinton's speeches to Wall Street: Hillary blames home owners for the crash of 2008

My reply to a similar post:

Here is the entire speech

There are some great lines, and perhaps a few freudian slips, that represent how little worry or vigilance she had at the time.

"I'm proud to represent New York, the financial capital of the world."

The speech is very Berney-esque but it's too little too late and doesn't focus on the immediate issue enough behind the market practices. It's almost like she's rehearsing for a speech during her presidential bid and spends a large amount of time making a case to blame the consumers before 11:00.

13:00

"We almost must recognize though that good things have happened in the housing market, home ownership is at the heart of the american dream and ownership rates rose to a record 69% in 2006."

This is after telling the audience that there was a wide system of fraudulent behavior. "A lot of people damaged this economy but, hey, ownership went up, Congrats!"

"The challenge for us is to preserve the best of this system, which has allowed people to own their own homes, while getting rid of the abuses. And to do that we need to look at this problem as complex as it is honestly. We also need a president who understands the complexity and magnitude of the challenges we face because obviously its not only about the mortgage industry and the credit crunch. its about our debt, about the declining dollar, about all the challenges we face in the global economy."

Doesn't want to change the system that much, downplaying the severity of the corruption while also dipping her toes into presidential waters.

In hindsight, this is one calculated talk not to solve the issue but get some donors should she run and maybe some headlines regarding her not-so-subtle clues to run.
