Found out my ‘best friends’ don’t actually like me....

You know, I feel like any of my friends could pick up my phone at a certain point in time and get a very distorted view of my relationship with them (or others) depending on my frustrations in the given moment. That's why snooping is such a bad idea.

Relationships are rocky. We get fed up with each other's shit and fall in and out of love on a daily, weekly, or monthly basis. People don't mean everything they say as a final and binding declaration of intent, especially when the reader was never meant to see it. People vent. People aren't perfect.

Anyway, I'm not sure what my point is except that it's highly unlikely that these people hate you and would be happy to know that you're hurt. You're justified in feeling betrayed. You're justified in being angry. But given the length of your relationships I, personally, wouldn't be so quick to simply write them off forever.
