In all seriousness as a hiring manager for a fortune 10 company, this could go either way for me. If it was a stupid shtick for someone who otherwise was unhireable it would just compound the failure. On the other hand if you were outgoing, generally likeable, skilled enough for the job, and an overall stand-up person this would be a huge bonus. I’m looking for 2 things: a person who will do the job well, and someone I want to work with 60-70hrs per week. Personality is severely underrated by interviewees. I know you’re good or we wouldn’t be talking! Do I want to work with you or are you going to be an asshole is what I’m really looking for.
