Jason lovingly created this piece in his alternative duo art/shop class Senior year at Palmdale High School. The quartz crystal like base represents the rock-like foundation of a nuclear family. The gold tone leaves are symbolic of the family unit’s development through the years. Some say it’s a “peeling away” of the family’s outward appearance to show the rod like strength of the most important family members; in ascending order, Jason, mother Ja and father who’s name no one can remember because he’s not nearly as significant as the relationship of Jason and his mother, as this piece clearly and boldly represents. Jason gifted to his mom for Mother’s Day 1978. Total value is all of a mother’s love.
