Four countries have declared climate emergencies, yet give billions to fossil fuels - UK, Ireland, Canada and France - Ireland’s fiscal support for all fossil fuels reached an annual average of $828 million

I love the way everyone paints “Fossil fuel” company’s with an evil brush, like they are willing trying to cause climate change. Everything you do on a day to day basis cup of tea, charge your phone, take a shower, browse Reddit is mostly powered by these fuels these company’s also offer jobs and pay tax and allow more funds for government and the markets.

The more I read into “Climate crisis”the more it seems like an economical scam all of these climate executives having huge gala balls to discuss how much the movie starts present will be donating for brownie points, it looks like a stab at capitalism if I say so. I don’t usually like taking points from US republican stuff but they actually made a fair point that it seems a lot of the left wing are using climate change to try and change the economy model we have in place to a more social one which seems true because a big way to hurt capitalism would be put more taxes and regulate fossil fuel company’s some of the most profitable business around.

I’ve also seen snapshots of different reports from the 50’s 60’s 70’s etc of experts saying in 1985 we all will have to wear gas masks, or leading scientists says most of the worlds land will be flooded by 2000 none of that happened and it’s the same reason why I don’t read posts about climate change now “this scientist says we will all be snowed in by 2025” . The scientific consensus of 97% or something was bogus because scientists saying they agree with something is different to actually doing a study on it and coming up with a conclusion not just agreeing with their academic peers
