Four-day work week gaining mainstream momentum in corporate Canada: Poll

Dude, why do you think they’re so amenable to it? Think for a 2nd. Those of us in organized workplaces have been watching this play out for decades.

First 4x10 is an option for some, next contract comes the continental work week. Meaning any combination of 7 day work schedule with rotating days off.

As to breaks, do the math. 5 days a week x 2-3 paid breaks a day equals 10-15 paid breaks a week, depending on wether or not lunch is paid. Working 4x10’s you’re now getting only 8-12.

Most 4x10’s also make zero allowance for an extra paid rest period after 8hrs as would be normal.

So yeah, this guy knows what he’s talking about. He’s already seen the playbook, and how it’s tun, many times.

They’re playing chess while workers play checkers.
