The Four Parts of the Mind

The question posed to this bearded guru: What is a creative mind?

He then gives the standard guru answers about the worship of intellect, lambasts Europe by saying "this whole shift toward the brain and the intellectual process is a European malice. They give too much significance to thought. This has happened because they live under a religiously subjugated society" (unlike India), and divides the mind into 4 parts to make it easier for us unenlightened folk. He also states his belief that there can be no new ideas, we can't think of anything new. Essentially, we don't have the power to create because we're too intellectual.

He never answers the question. He just gives the above standard guru fare. He never talks about creativity, how we create reality through action and visualization, or that I as an individual am endowed with this birthright of creativity. That were are born with talents and potentials that we can choose to fulfill, and through which we express our creativity.

Believing nothing new can be created through the use of thought is limiting. If that has been the pervasive belief in India for centuries then that is probably why they haven't come up with new ideas and most of their country lives in poverty, and most of their revitalization has come from new ideas from the Western world. I would say it's these gurus, and they're spreading of this crap, that held India back for so long.

New ideas happen. People think of new things and create them. People wake up to their power to create in the moment and create whole new lives for themselves. Create things for other people that are good, and sometimes bad. What's a creative mind? If we could talk to them I bet we'd learn a lot about that from the Europeans Michelangelo, Einstein, Van Gogh, Rodin, Da Vinci, Gutenberg, and a very extensive list of famous creative people from the past. There are vital artists and creators living today that could tell you.

Gurus like this just tie up your mind and get you trapped in trying to suppress one imagined part of your mind with another imagined part of your mind, and thus your creativity gets suppressed or almost hidden from you. And in your confusion, you seek more help from them. Because they know and you don't. Suppress creativity on a mass level and you get a backwards country in not only technology, but public health, government, and actual fulfillment of human talents and potentials. Make people believe there are no new ideas, you get the same thing. If this were true, then the human race would have never even reached cave man status, and would still be wandering around naked without language, not being able to hunt animals in new ways, or even a spear or a stitch of clothing.

You want to know what a creative mind is? Get creating consciously in every moment. Just you getting out of your chair and walking to fridge is an act of creativity. You think it, then act, and the scene you're experiencing changes. It is one act out many possible ones. You could have thought to just stand up and sing Every Breath You Take, and that would be your world. It's you translating your mental energy into reality. Our visions can be simple or complex. You can just create scenes of yourself walking from the couch to the fridge and back all day while watching House Of Cards, or you can do something complex like create some music, write a book, design a building, create a business, make a family with someone, create a new internet, etc. It's endless. Your creativity is vast and your talents and potentials are vast.

This guru either doesn't understand creativity, or he doesn't want you to understand, otherwise he would have answered the question. On thing is for sure, he's got the guru game down to a tee. He was born with the talent to speak. And I'm sure his business is doing really well. I don't put a person down for making money, I have my own business. But he's no different than a televangelist raking in the dough from the confused with his great talent for speaking and the good ol' book of the east instead of the bible.
