Fournette ejected

Don't think they're suspending him. People were pointing to lynch as the example. That suspension decision took less than 24 hours. Contrast to the AJ Green fine which wasn't made public until Thursday following the incident with Jalen Ramsey.

Though "leaving the sidelines" is somewhat important to note, the NFL doesn't seem to put as much weight on it as lay people do - which by the way is correct call in my opinion. No one seems to be able to rationalize why not being on the field and fighting is more severe than being in the play and fighting.

The real distinction for Lynch was that he touched an official in an aggressive manner. That's an incredibly frightening concept for the NFL to have their 230lbs gladiators beating on 5'7" sexaganarians who look more like the fanbase than active participants.
