Fowl taste coming from Root Canal Tooth (for 5 years now)

The pain during that procedure should have made you vow to be more open and communicative with your dentist. ”this really hurts and I can’t stand it. Is there anything you can do about the pain?” if you had a severe infection sometimes the dental anesthesia doesn’t work well. Maybe you just needed more. Maybe you needed to be sent home with antibiotics to come back and try again after the infection was cleared. Maybe you didn’t realize you could speak up and ask for more numbing. ”I’ve got to be honest with you doc, I can’t afford this treatment and at this price I’m just not coming back. What are my options?” Complete the treatment, or lose the tooth. Those are your options. Actually, there is another: ignore the half treated tooth until it gets worse until you can’t stand it, then come in during a pandemic begging for emergency treatment and lose the tooth anyway. That’s *definitely your best option. Do that.

I came from a background where dental education was neglected and treatment was seen as a luxury, but I will never understand why people can just ignore the taste of rot in their mouths. If your finger was literally rotting off your body, would you ignore it for years, then ask for “any ideas”?
