“Fox & Friends” just can’t stop the spin: In the wake of Charleston, we must arm our pastors and priests

IIRC there is actually a lot of crime taking place at churches. From money laundering, racketeering, drugs, and even prostitition. I don't mean a lot as in black market...but it's not close to zero either.

But...churches have been targeted in the past, hard. There was a law that stood from the mid-90s to the late 90s/early 00s about church arsons. Some were likely racially motivated but it's actually fairly close to 50/50 (more white churches burned..but...there's fewer black churches). It's also hard to know if the arson was intentional or some kids doing a prank (some arsons are obviously very serious)

The thing about this particular shooting though is that the recent unrest puts a lot of focus on the races as well as the history of the church...200 years old, was involved with slave updating...but I seriously doubt that the punk thug who did this was concerned with the history of the church. ...but that's not stopping people from being more upset , as thogh he was attacking the people, the history, and the idea.

Imagine this. I served 10 years in the military and did earn a few medals (21 total over 16 different ribbons). If I were gunned down, it could be swung that a "decorated" or even "highly decorated combat veteran was gunned down" (if I were mugged then shot). In reality, I'm a 33 year old manager who goes to work and puts my pants on one leg at a time like everyone else. But people will be upset simply because of the "decorated veteran" thing. (Also, I have NEVER been in a gun fight...just 3 tours and saw a lot of dirt) that's me, not others. I was in minimal danger due to my job...unlike those who were in combat.
