France has officially acknowledged for the first time that French Polynesians were effectively forced into accepting almost 200 nuclear tests conducted over a 30-year period, and that it is responsible for compensating them for the illnesses caused by the fallout.

My Dave is a semi retired baby boomer that is only semi retired as he works in a store for his mate part time while it was getting off the ground and never went back to retirement. Dave has a 7 figure share portfolio. He also just landed a mid 6 figure contract through his life connections with no experience, won't take advice on investments from professionals in regards to their sector (besides our job being providing investment advice, this one in particular was with regards to how things would go regulation wise in our own industry) and takes the word of his broker who is essentially just spruiking morningstar and the NAV v share price ignoring what else is going on or the wider trend. Dave hates the idea of unions, Dave grew up believing the media actually self regulated and was to be trusted. When one of his kids got let go early on from his first 6 figure corporate job during the probation period and the kid swore he didn't know what happened, well he was obviously a fuck wit somehow but the next one is going fine so he sorted himself out.

In saying that I do think Dave is actually an awesome guy if a bit misguided sometime due to existing during a different era and his experiences during it, but, if the world still exists I am sure the kids will say the same about our antiquated beliefs. Honestly I think they are more likely to flay whomever of us is left rather than give a dressing down on Reddit
