This article is light on details. Did they change the rules for what constitutes harassment? Or is the only alteration that a person can be charged on the spot?

I find it surprising that france's legal system was ill equipped to handle a scenario like the one presented in the video, and i really worry that laws are being passed (globally) as reaction to the latest viral videos.

Disclaimer: Harassment is bad, and i dont know the france legal system. My comment is only out of concern that knee jerk reactions are becoming somewhat normalized.
