France's president recently said Islam is "in crisis" and has proposed strengthening a law that already bans Muslims from wearing a hijab in school or at work government workplaces (20% of jobs). Do you think this would be acceptable in Canada?

So you're really going to sit there at your computer and tell me countries with a majority religion tend to have their politics affected by said religion as if that's supposed to be news to me.

I mean, obviously it's an exaggeration because clearly some non-Muslim countries are certainly influenced politically by the majority's religion. I can think of the USA, Poland, India

And don't act as if letting someone wear a hijab in Canada is comparable to the politics of Saudi Arabia.

Did I say that?

I'm really not sure what you're trying to say here but it seems you've left international waters and are dangerously close to the shore of islamophobia

Really, all I'm trying to say is that Islam can often be political to an extent other religions generally are not (again... I'm not denying there are exceptions) or at least aren't anymore and that's not really up to debate and I don't see how that's in any way islamophobic.
