Freaky Friday

Hey look man, I busted in here pretty rude to you. That's not gonna get us anywhere.

I'm not trying to be rude here when I say your whole comment chain comes across as pretty douchey, but I don't think that's means I'm allowed to treat you with a lack of respect.

So I sincerely apologise for that.

Bro, nobody "can't handle" your opinion, that is an exceptionally juvenile way to avoid some self-reflection.

I like Lil' Dicky. Not because he's gonna change the game, but because I find him funny, and most importantly, and in stark contrast to what you seem to believe, he's incredibly self-aware. He raps about his privilege and doesn't take himself too seriously.

Yes, hip hop is historically black, and it's is definitely important to acknowledge that, especially as a white artist. Even Eminem points out the tragedy that this "Black music" wasn't really allowed to become mainstream until a white artist made it socially acceptable (He very succinctly compares himself to Elvis Presley in this regard).

The problem, man, is your apparent suggestion that white people aren't "allowed" to make music. But that suggestion itself completely misunderstand the point of most music, you feel me?

Look, again, I shouldn't have jumped down your throat, but people can handle your opinion, they just don't like how you presented it.

Sorry for bein' a dick.

We cool?
