Related to the spiritual deficiency, I feel like I cannot come into full communion until I fix it, because I want to come in with something to offer the Church. I want to be a man than is free from any "eye-planks" so I can be a blessing. I want to be an ambassador of Christ, not a judgmental person "twice fit for hell".

The man who would be the rock the Church was built on denied Christ, in person, three times, when Christ desperately needed someone, anyone, to stand with him. Just after Peter promised he would not fall away all the way to his own death. That was the first Pope.

We are all broken creatures, none of us worthy of this Church. Come into communion, receive the full graces of the sacraments, cooperate with those graces and walk the narrow path to God. Bring what you have even if just a couple of fish and a little bread, and in faith of Christ, he will make sure it is enough for what he has planned for you.

Study the sign of contradiction. Know that you are in the battle, and as you draw nearer to the true light, the accuser will fight harder with outright and inward resistances to keep you away from all this grace. You don't have to face the fight alone, in communion the graces of the sacraments will be with you. How silly is it that a soldier insists on winning the fight before he will go to his general and get his gun?

How about with humility knowing that there is nothing you could possibly bring with you in any recognizable portion corresponds to what Christ will give you? Should the Widow have not entered the temple because all she had to give was two mites? All we all offer to God is less than half that to what He gave and gives to us. What was more important how much she had to give to God or that she was willing to give what she did have to God right then right there?
