I don’t think junkies should die. I do think, that while poorly worded, that person does have some validity to their thought. As many others, I unfortunately know the ridiculous battles and hardships addicts bring to everyone involved in their life. I have a nephew that is an addict, and he has had his life saved too many times with narcan. It never makes him consider getting clean. He is back at it in a few days, and brings the havoc with him. I am sympathetic to the whole situation, but I have mixed feelings on it’s use. Certainly, there are people who have narcan administered to them once or twice and changed their life. There also people who will continue to be an addict and continue to destroy and damage other people’s lives. It’s a real issue for sure and I don’t know what the answer is by any means. I pray for my nephews life daily. I also pray that his immediate family, where most of the havoc is directed, has the strength to continue and can find peace in their lives.
