You need to get 3xTracPhone or other. Go into the VZW store, tell him you want an iPhone 6s Space Grey 16 GB, and 2xLG Lancets (if he says they don’t have those, opt for the HTC Desire 626).
He will get them. Tell him you want to trade these 3 phones (TracPhones, etc.) in towards the three new phones (the iPhone 6s and 2xLG’s or 2xHTC’s). Then you will have the 3 phones and the $900 credit. They will only let you apply $300 of it to the iPhone. Do that. But don’t apply the other $600 towards the LG’s/HTC’s.
You now have $530 credit (not sure why, this is what I had left), and owe $~350 on the iP6s, they WILL NOT let you apply that credit, by all means try, I hope it works, but it didn’t for me (even tried calling in and applying it, still a no go).
The VERY SECOND you leave the store, call Verizon Support on a phone you had previous to all this (to prevent charges), and ask them to suspend the three new lines, and pay off the 6s (using $350 from your credit card, this will equalize, as you have that much on tap in the form of your VZW credit). Also tell the rep you want to remove the line associated to the 6s.
You now have about $530 credit minus the $350 (you spent on your credit card paying off the 6s), minus the $60 ($20x3) Activation, you now have $120 credit, and you have an iPhone 6s. Some of this may be eaten by Taxes, that’s what the $120 is, potential padding for taxes, etc. We ended up with $44 positive (meaning $44 towards our next bill).
I also personally got a $100 “We’re sorry” payment because the Rep on the phone accidentally paid off the wrong phone… TWICE. She handed it over to the next level of support, he solved the credit card charges, and refunded them correctly, then gave me $100 credit as an “Apology”.
The next day, return to the store, and return the HTC’s/LG’s, with the excuse “We didn’t end up needing them.”. Use the VZW account balance to pay the $70 in restocking, if you have enough (I did). You may have to pay that $70 out of pocket, but WHO CARES? You just got a $70 iPhone 6s, that can be resold for about $~650.
Apparently, some people are saying that the $300 credit should be revoked when you return the phones, but I did it, asked about it, and have it in writing from a rep that the credit won’t be revoked (I know it means little, but hey, anything helps), and I already spent the remaining credit on my family’s bill. Four other people I know have done this, and not had it revoked. LET’S GUESS that at some point they’ll catch on. Just pay off the LG’s/HTC’s (For $266/$386), then also make sure to remove those lines form the account as you did the 6s (not just suspend). Then you can just resell those phones on eBay.
Tips: Write down the steps I outlined, be extremely confident, and tell them nothing about the Reddit post, or your plans to return the other phones. Good luck!
