I have gotten really into board games lately.

Some games I have gotten into:

Pandemic: It's a ton of fun! If you haven't played it: you and other people play against the board to try and stop four mega diseases from spreading and killing everyone. Everyone has a special role that allows them a special and unique characteristic which is vital for winning. Turn based. Work together. Tons of fun.

One Night: Ultimate Werewolf: If you have played Mafia or BANG!, this is similar. Everyone randomly receives a role and isn't allowed to divulge their character. You are either a villager or a werewolf. Everyone closes their eyes and different roles take turns "waking up" which is just opening their eyes. The wolves wake up first and are able to identify each other. The villagers have different roles such as "village idiot" "witch" "curator" which allows them to do certain things when it is their turn to wake up. Then everyone closes their eyes and everyone wakes up at once. At that point, you have 5 minutes to discuss about who is a wolf. Everyone votes for one person and that person "dies". If a villager is chosen, then the village fails in killing a wolf and anyone who is a villager loses. However, if a wolf is killed, the wolves lose and the villagers win. The role you started off as may change and you not know it, however. The idea of the game is to kill the wolf, if you are a villager; or, try and deflect and convince others to kill a villager if you are a wolf. You can say anything you want to get people to try and believe you. Short game, tons of replay value.

Axis and Allies: A game like Risk but takes places during WW2. You can either be the USA, GB, USSR, Japan or Germany. The Allies work together to defeat the Axis powers, and the other way around. Lots of strategy, dice rolling and a tad bit of luck to along with it. In college, my roommates and I would play games spanning days. Tons of fun!
