With Twin Peaks reaching its divisive conclusion (striking while the iron is hot, I know), I was reminded about my own feelings towards the Zero Escape series.

Having loved the first two games, I was a little disappointed to find out the final game was considered a pretty poor ending to the series by some fans. Not wanting to sour my experience with the series overall, I decided to hold off on buying it. Eventually, my curiosity got the best of me and I spoiled myself on the entire story. Unfortunately, it was as disappointing as I heard. On one hand, I enjoyed the shit out of 999 and VLR, but on the other I've been left kinda bitter. Maybe one day the bitterness will fade and I'll enjoy the series for what it managed to achieve. Then again, i'm still salty over Mass Effect so maybe not.

What about you? Are there any stories/games you're holding off on finishing because you're worried the conclusion might ruin the experience? Were there times where you wished a final installment was never released? Would You Rather Have Nothing?
