Can't wait for the weekend, need some time off. Helping my mom babysit my two toddler-aged nieces for the past two days plus the coming weekend, full-time job (that I, thank fucking god, can do at home) and helping my dad around after he suddenly lost most of his vision yesterday, he's starting to make out shapes and can get by on his own already, but still needs help with other things. Really eerie seeing someone (especially someone who has been the figure of strength and independence) become a bit helpless, with everyday things. Mind you, he's not even that old, just 53. Going under the kinfe on Monday. Trying to keep positive thoughts around and keeping him relaxed. Even when the house is a constant buzz and mess with the two little ones.
