I’ve spent 20 years trying to lose weight and the only time I was successful was before I could drive (and before having kids) where I had to walk to work every day and didn’t have any money for junk food. I lost 6 stone, but over the years have put 4 of it back on and am now 20stone, really unfit, old, and tired and in a pandemic with an equally knackered wife who has no interest in eating healthily herself.
I lost my job last month and am taking the redundancy package to have a gap year to focus mostly on losing weight (whilst still being a caring and present dad of two). Gyms aren’t open, it’s bloody cold out, I’ve got a lifetime of bad habits to break and a partner who isn’t able to directly support me very well. Help?
