Free Talk Friday

This happened a couple months ago, but feel the need to share it.

So I've been in NYC since January for an internship as the final component of my degree before graduating in June. Brother has lived and worked in the city for a few years, so I came down at the beginning of January and crashed on his couch while I looked for a place - which isn't entirely the easiest thing to do since I'm an unpaid intern in arguably the most expensive city on Earth. So I was understandably a bit stressed looking for a place.

Anyway, the 2nd weekend I'm down there I'm out with my brother and his friends at a bar on a Friday night. Got there around 11 and ended up being there until close around 4, all the while I was trying and nearly succeeding with a 2 different girls - but to no avail. At this point I'm about to leave and head back to the main part of the bar to look for my brother's roommate, as my brother and his other friends bailed hours beforehand. As I'm heading his way this really cute girl comes right out in front of me and says in a confronting manner, "So are you the guy who tried to fight me at the bar??" I was obviously taken aback and very confused, as I wasn't picking a fight with anyone - especially a girl.

But it turns out that's how some Swiss girls flirt, so she bought me a drink. We start talking for a bit, but the she abruptly cuts me off saying I'm talking too much and starts making out with me. Nice. Next thing I know we're in a cab back to her place - a top story bachelorette pad. Do the deed, etc., and end up staying at this girl's place all weekend hanging, getting to know each other and stuff - including finding out that she's 8 years older than me. Tell her my whole deal about the internship and she goes, "Well, why don't you just stay with me?" Thought she was joking, but was totally serious. Obviously say yes, and agree to pay her rent of course - but get a nice discount because she "enjoys hanging out and having sex with me."Nice Probably the most direct, down to earth girl (woman I should say) that I have ever met, and saved me a load of hassle with living and such.

Just wanted to share and especially send my kindest regards to the Swiss on this sub. I will most certainly be rooting for you this summer in the Euros. Cheers.
