The cuts are still happening. The virus screwed the minor league teams efforts to fight the contraction when it went from a front page story to not a story at all once the virus hit. Now the teams that are getting cut would probably fold no matter what MLB decided to do with them. The MiLB teams are small businesses and they’re about to go 19 months without any real revenue.

While players will see a small increase in pay, MLB teams will still be spending significantly less money because they are significantly shrinking the size of there farm systems.

The cherry on top of all of this is that it’s based off a plan put together by the scumbags in Houston’s front office. This all just another thing that MLB has completely botched under Manfred. I love baseball but hate the direction it’s going under his leadership.
