Unpopular opinions (I guess) :

  • Aaron Gordon is not a winning player and any contender is better off without him. His game is just not fitting for modern basketball and he lacks basketball IQ.

  • Miami will be better than Philadelphia. Dragic became very underrated, now they have Butler, Herro looks legit and their depth is good with many young players expected to impove this season. Phila have some good names but I don't think it's going to work with 2 bigs and weak otside shooting. I feel like Redick was opening a lot of things for them and he will be missed even more than Butler.

  • Clippers will have a problem with playmaking even more than at center position. Beverly is not much of a playmaker and Lou is average at best, so I can see their offense being stagnant with a lot of isos for Kawhi, PG or Lou. I think transition play will be very important for them because that defense will probably give them many opportunities to run.

  • The contract Nuggets gave Jamal Murray is reasonable since they are not going to attract any superstars and Murray himself is underrated a lot. He is 22 and he just averaged 21 5 4 for the playoffs (14 games). His consistency could be better and probably will with age, but compared to some other more universally appreciated young players, he showed hell of a lot more. I hope he proves haters wrong.

  • Bogdan Bogdanovic is the best Kings player and it's unfortunate that he is put in a role he is in. Buddy Hield is considered a better player now but I feel it's exclusively due to his light being way greener. Bogdan had a bunch of minor injuries last year and he couldn't find a rhythm throughout the whole season. I would like him to be more aggressive and force Kings to give him a bigger role or some other team to pay him.

  • I feel like the only reason Wizards are not considered the worst team in the NBA right now is Bradley Beal. Hoenets kinda became a meme for how bad they are on paper but look at the Wizards without Beal. I don't see any starting caliber players on that team. If I had to bet on a 7 game series between Wizards and Hornets, I would choose Hornets. Beal is good but he is not a wizard (pun intended hehe).
