I was 24, 11/12 years ago and an idiot with money so racked up some hefty CC debt and ended up closing a huge deal that got me about $25k after taxes. Wiped that clean and have definitely improved my personal finances since, vowed to never carry a balance again.

Was in a smaller OTE role and closed two deals in accelerator that got me about $70k pretax and put basically all that away for our down payment.

When COVID hit I had an installed based account that went gang busters and did $35k of commissions over 2-3 months. Our margins were a little lower but they nerfed my rate on that account from 2019 by 75%, I fought it during comp plan review but ultimately lost, and was told to take it or give up the account. Still a nice check but if it hit the year before it would have been like 150k.
