Freedom of Speech

Freedom of speech for everyone sounds great until you have death cults that recruit people without repercussions.

I would love to abide by the "free marketplace of ideas" where stupid ideas such as racism and extremism are exposed and denigrated by everyone. Unfortunately, this doesn't provide great results. When you have right-wing extremists who discuss the so-called white replacement and the "invasion" of immigrants into white communities, how can you expect not to have negative consequences? When antisemites are allowed to organize and discuss the destruction of the Jewish people, how do you not see how a synagogue is going to be targeted at some point? When groups like ISIS recruit people without opposition, do you not expect them to grow?

People also tend to think that they live in a society with this unhindered freedom of speech. We don't in the US, Europe, and in every country in the world. Intelligence agencies are constantly working to track down members of some of these organizations, and to their credit they prevent many terrorist attacks in this way. Most people won't complain when these agencies infiltrate an ISIS cell or suppress their social media, but as soon as we suggest doing the same to extremist right-wing groups, they get upset and preach about their precious freedom of speech.

I'm not talking about suppressing "normal" conservatives who complain about taxes and talk about Christian morals or what not - I just want groups that promote dangerous ideas that inevitably lead to unjustifiable violence to be suppressed for the common good.

TLDR: All governments already limit freedom of speech to an extent to promote the well-being of their people. A communist society would do the same. This doesn't mean that everyone who disagrees would be persecuted; just those who are demonstrably dangerous to other members of society.

P.S. - I know everyone is going to say that communists advocate for a violent revolution and how I'm being hypocritical for saying we should suppress dangerous groups. This is not true, but that's an entirely different discussion. The question was my state is going to work without freedom of speech, and the answer is that it will work the same way all other societies work in that regard.
