A French Smackdown

Alright, now you’re shifting the goal post.

I’m not sure Zambian cuisine is bound to “blackness” because not all black people are Zambian. Zambian cuisine is bound to Zambian culture in the same way French cuisine is bound to French culture, and there’s nothing wrong with that. White people and non-Zambians are free to cook and eat Zambian cuisine, but if you change and alter the dish then it’s no longer Zambian cuisine. It’s a whole different thing. If a Zambian man makes an American style cheeseburger then he didn’t just create a new Zambian dish. He just made an American style cheeseburger. If he decided to incorporate ingredients and styles of his locale then he’s likely created something new. None of this is intrinsically linked to race.
