Frequent news or long silences?

Did you guys prefer when Nintendo would release directs every two to three months, or this new approach of a long silence, then, BAM! A whole array of things coming our way?

It depends on what they say, more than how long it's said. The best example of this is Virtual Console and the paid online.

The Switch was announced four months ago and released a month ago, yet I don't think we learned anything new about it outside of an expected price range.

Now, if Nintendo came in and was like:

  • You have a month to purchase each months free game and it will be yours for the duration of the month/subscription.
  • Classic games with multiplayer elements will have online multiplayer.
  • It will cost X for a month, Y for however months or Z for the year.
  • The app is the only place to use social functions on the Switch.

Then they can take however months of silence before releasing which platforms will the app work on (I don't expect it to work on Window's Phone), which games will be included, discounts and so forth or they can gradually reveal things. The point is just that, I don't care how they do it, they just need to reveal some of these things sooner than later.
