Here's Fresh Evidence Student Loans Are a Massive, Generational Scam

I have a different perspective than many on this subject because I was lucky enough to have parents with the resources get me through university without loans. To me, the most alarming thing is just how much better of a position I am in than all of my friends who werent so fortunate for the most arbitrary reasons.

We all have decent jobs, make about the same amount of salary roughly, and are all fairly responsible with our spending habits and things like that. All in all, we should probably be living a very similair lifestyle based on our merits. And none of us are dangerously poor or anything like that. But with loans hanging over their heads, they are constantly budgetting and having concerns about money that honestly rarely cross my mind at all because I wasnt basically forced into a high interest loan.

Its absurd to me that just because I happened to be born to the right people, that I have such a lower stress life when it comes to my finances through quite literally no merit of my own. Sure I worked hard to get through school and get a decent job, but Ive seen people that worked way harder, done way more, and still not have a ton to show for it. Even the ones that worked their asses off got the truly high paying jobs have to have most of that benefit go towards loans or high cost of living where those jobs are.

I dont like seeing people who have done everything right, people way better than myself, have these kinda concerns just because they werent born into a lucky situation. I dont like seeing people that deserve better fall by the wayside as they struggle to pay off absurd loans even while having decent paying jobs. I just want to see a level playing field for all of us based on what you can do and have done rather than how much your parents make or you can get approved for, despite myself benefitting from it being the way it is.
