Friday Discussion Thread

SO's phone has been acting up. I did call center tech support for AT&T mobility for two years, I'm pretty good at fixing phones and know how to work customer service generally. I made a few suggestions in how to fix his phone and he just kind of shrugged them off. The guy at the store told him to call a department completely unrelated to what he needed so i told him what that department was for and who he should really call.

Does he listen? Nah. Call the other department spends 10 minutes on hold just to be told to call where I told him to call. Then he gets off and rants about the guy at the store being stupid and wasting his time. I literally said that. Store people are stupid when it comes to how the call centers work! So many stupid unnecessary calls from stores, not their fault they just don't know the policies as well but still..

Anyways he just went to a new phone company instead. Worked out, he activated at Walmart so we got a 150 dollar Walmart gift card, new game for him and new microwave yay! (Side rant - My mom's stupid boyfriend drunkenly super damaged mine two years ago by setting it to cook a cup of fucking tea for '99.99' planning to take it out at the minute mark then passed out. It's had bubbly stuff on the top for ages which has started to flake. Plus it has stains from that that wont come out. Ruined my awesome amazing microwave. I loved that microwave it was so pretty and stainless steel and bah. But it still worked, but I'm not putting up with flakes of fuckin plastic in my food no thanks. And she wonders why I can't stand him.)

But yeah anyways. I'm pretty sure I just fixed his old phone. By doing things I suggested he do when it first started acting up. Yup. It's annoying when people disregard my input when I know what the fuck I'm talking about...
