I'm worried that a lot of these post-election neophyte radicals are going to tune out as soon as Elizabeth Warren, Kanye West or whoever becomes president.

I'm not sure if this is accurate, because I don't remember the Bush years very well, but I have this impression that during that time there were a lot of fair-weather radicals who seemed like anarchists and communists, but who fell for Obama's siren song of hope and change, and kind of disappeared from the scene. Like that Homer Simpson meme someone posted yesterday or the day before, but in reverse.

Again, I'm not sure if that's accurate. I was a teenager during the Bush-Cheney regime, but I might as well have been two years old the way my memory and political awareness were.

I'm worried that I may be one of those people, too. I don't care for Obama, but I've sort of drunk the liberal Koolaid, and then you had this campaign, where I was rooting for Bernie, and then Hillary, the latter as the lesser evil to Trump. I need to detox off of liberalism, I think.

Is my assessment of the Bush years accurate though?
