Went to my OB office today for routine monitoring ultrasound and will be speaking with my OB (who was out of the office) on Monday to review. Since I’m getting ready to prepare for my FET at the end of December, I want to speak with my OB and my RE to get their opinion on taking something stronger than aspirin for my homozygous MTHFR (C677T). The nurse at my OB office said they used lovenox and heparin for other patients that have this and other variants of MTHFR. I took the labs and walked over to my RE office to see if he thought my protocol should be altered to include it.

My RE calls and said he feels that lovenox is really strong and will prescribe it if I truly want it, but that aspirin (which already prescribed in my protocol) will provide a similar effect.

Still waiting for my OBs opinion on this. I did some reading after my appointment and the research I’ve found shows that use of lovenox AND aspirin has helped people with this exact variant of MTHFR have successful pregnancies.

Anyone else here with MTHFR doing the same or different protocol for this?
