Friday Unjerk Thread

Weird thought I had. Wanna see this sub's opinion.

Do you guys think its possible for a fan to dislike a canon same-sex ship in piece of media, or prefer a straight ship over it... and for reasons other than homophobia?

In an ideal world, this wouldn't be a question at all, and hopefully it'll be the case years from now. But since we still live in a heteronormative time where, just as an example, a lot of writers still have to fight in a lot of cases to even hint at a queer character or romance in some parts, would you guys say its inherently anti-queer to begin with? Is possible to simply dislike the direction or find it unhealthy or poorly written? I really can't answer it myself.

These are serious questions I'm pondering btw. Its 4 am and my imsomniac brain can't sleep unless I feel I get some answers or takes on this.
