A friend and I have tried coming up with a good way to get rid of Social Security

5) Find age brackets for people at a working age on up to receive partial Social Security benefits, as A) some would have planned on Social Security for retirement and wouldn't be able to fully compensate for their plans with other methods (people within 20-30ish years of retirement) and B) These people already paid taxes into Social Security and thus deserve some level of return on that "investment" (even if minimal).

So this would amount to tens trillions of dollars. SS receives 838 billion dollars a year in taxes, most of which come from people under the age 57.
