Friendly reminder to all the under 16 UK Redditors out there..

I'm slowly getting my year 11s (I started teaching this year) to care about GCSE RE. I'm lucky enough to have small classes for year 11 as the school has basically doubled in size since their year started so we're overstaffed proportionally with y11.

Its gonna fucking suck when every year group is twice as big as theirs. The situation in British education policy is dire. Schools are not being funded adequately, teachers are massively underpaid and overworked, and most schools are now run by private trusts, rather than the state. Some schools have adjusted well, but many have not, resulting in highly overpaid management with terrible performance.

If you're from the UK and you're over 18

Vote for fucking Labour or you're a prick.
