A friendly reminder from a road-side construction worker.

It's not just when people get in cars. I work in a mall retail store and people are downright nasty to the service departments. I have sat there while being verbally abused because I asked them to wait a second while I finish talking to another customer.

I've been given rude hand gestures, yelled at, and been a target of a thrown object more times than I can count because someone cannot wait an extra 2 minutes. I know you've come from far away, or you're on a lunch break, or you have very important appointments to attend. However, so does everyone else. Wait in line, be patient, I assure you that we have not forgot about your overbearing presence. It's not like we're just sitting here with our thumbs up our asses, ignoring you on purpose, and just killing time by staring at our desks.
