I remember seeing someone in one of those bold prediction threads during the off season say we were their pick for the President's Trophy, and it was actually upvoted. Can't remember what the person's flair was but I couldn't believe it was actually being well received.

Funny thing is, I thought that was ridiculous. I thought we'd finish near the top but figured we'd have no shot at the President's Trophy. Sure we're only 25% through the season, but we've been keeping right up there so far. I still don't expect it but I am starting to think perhaps I actually underestimated our own team?

Especially when you consider that we still have yet to ice our ideal lineup.

But it's still so weird when fans of other teams say good things about our team. I'm just so used to being shit on all the time. But I think we're just finally reaching that point where only the most die hard Leafs haters can rationalize continuing to deny it.
