I mean, ok. I’m not saying that to troll, but I realize you might expect that, so I understand your response.

I’m just It reflects my own experiences - when I was younger/less attractive but probably a much nicer person overall than I am now(perhaps to a fault actually), I got far less attention from women. As I got older, more confident, more attractive (worked out, a career, etc), I wasn’t quite as nice, but I haven’t heard “I see you as a brother” from women I am attracted to since then.

None of which is to imply that many of the “nice guys” who denigrate women because they don’t want THEM aren’t total douchebags, I’m just suggesting that there is some truth to the idea that when it boils down to it, women are every bit at shallow as men. Physical attractiveness and status will often provide a rationale for many women to ignore awful behavior from men that they wouldn’t tolerate from less attractive guys.

“Nice guys” and incels can be shitty people AND women can be just as blinded by a pretty face as men. These things aren’t mutually exclusive, and it doesn’t help the credibility of the position we agree on to pretend that they are.
