I don’t remember where I heard this analogy of trans issue in the medical field but I like it the best.

The speaker was talking about his uncle, severe PTSD/schizophrenia. His uncle used to think the radio would talk to him, even when it was off and he would often hallucinate. Encouraging trans people and telling them there feelings are normal would be like him telling his uncle the radio IS speaking to him and that his hallucinations are real.

We don’t tell schizo’s there voices are real.. why are we encouraging men to mutilate there genitals and present as women? Is self-mutilation really humane? No.. its not.. Its pretty messed up.
