From loving to hating: Why I will never purchase from Oneplus again.

I completely agree, used to be a huge supporter now I'm going to resell my OPT that should soon be on the way and wipe my hands with OnePlus completely (more than likely). As an iOS user since 2007 (still remember my dad giving me my first iPhone for my birthday at midnight) what could have been a more exciting way to get into Android than the original OnePlus One? After looking up best Android phone on YouTube and Google a year ago, I kept seeing the OnePlus One pop up as a phone to be excited for.

I think it's the best phone I've ever owned, period. Even now, you don't really have a phone that can compete with that battery life. I also thought the customer service horror stories would be very few and far between. After all, you don't get online after going to the bank and saying, "Today I had such a pleasant experience at the bank! Everything was smooth moving and my personal banker was so friendly and courteous and professional! I love _____ Bank!" No. But you will complain about terrible service.

But my three times contacting OnePlus have been awful - being 0/3 isn't good when you have a terrible rap sheet for customer service. A year ago for shipping and a RMA for my OnePlus One having microphone software issues. I would activate speaker and the other line could no longer hear me, if I turned off speakerphone, everything went back to normal. It took six and five days for a reply and of course, I was quoted like $240 for a fix on the microphone issue. Luckily I live in a big city so somebody could fix it locally for $35, never had a problem again.

But yesterday I finally got an email back from OnePlus' new and improved customer service - six days after my initial email. I had seen some posts on the front page showing replies in minutes and got so excited for the "new" OnePlus customer service, then a day passed, then two, then three and I realized I was naive and dumb. They didn't have the Style Swap covers for sale when I ordered my Two. The covers they guaranteed would be available on purchase of your Two this time around to avoid the complete disaster and fiasco that were the OPO's Style Swap covers. I emailed support saying I would gladly buy one if they could just add it to my order (I had just placed the order about four hours ago), I didn't want to pay shipping again due to their inability to keep promises. Finally six days later, Kathy replies and says: "if you are not satisfied with our service you can refuse the package to cancel 'coz right now you can't cancel the order for it is in the logistics processing."

Another $13 for shipping the Style Swap cover that will take another two weeks for me to get my product? Yeah I don't know. At least this OnePlus Two will get me enough money on Swappa to buy a Moto X Pure if I do decide to resell.
