From this point forward, is it possible that every new Nintendo console will launch with a new Zelda entry?

Basically, making a game so damn good that people absolutely have to buy a Switch in the launch window bc they want to play it that bad.

Okay, but that is a far cry from your "launch with a new Zelda" point.

That's the strategy I'm asking about.

So, you're asking if Nintendo should try to implement a system where every launch they release one of the highest rated games of all time? I mean, it goes without saying that releasing one of the high rated games of all time will increase interest in your system, but releasing highly rated games isn't enough.

There is no denying that Zelda is helping the Switch sell, but people need to realize that the average person doesn't look at Zelda and go "Oh my god! This game is so amazing looking that I need to rush out there and spend $400+ to play!" It's very much so a combination of multiple popular titles, a lot of marketing and the fact that the Switch doubles as a portable system.

If the Switch got the same level of marketing as the Wii U, didn't have Mario Kart 8/Splatoon 2/Super Mario Odyssey on the horizon and was more like an enhanced Wii U, I am willing to bet you could easily find one at any store, even if Zelda had a perfect 100/100 on Metacritic and was exclusive to the system.
