I was just trying to find out why people think it's purposeful to talk about a person they've never met harboring an opinion that's socially unacceptable. I just think that it's kind of abstract and disconnected. Beyond that I think the more society invests their free time, such as moments like this on Reddit, discussing stuff that literally does not affect them personally, isn't bettering us as a human race.

And in that as I said my very first post why can't we just let the racist people be racist and let them self-segregate. The rest of society doesn't need them and they'll find themselves irrelevant. What sense is it throwing all this attention at them You can't tell me they don't like it.
