I tried to do a stint at Amazon over this past holiday season because of the incentives and I made it about 2 weeks. I never met my direct manager once. Every other day was a notification about Covid exposure and it was nearly impossible to socially distance through some of the processes. I put in for time when I was exposed/quarantining and had symptoms with a request to be contacted by HR and never received a call until they sent me a termination letter. The reason was I had taken too much time and didn't open a case in the right way through their app.

At that point I had already returned to my previous job (I had left due to a scheduled reduction in hours) and I'm thankful I had a good report with my previous boss because he's an actual human. Everything was numbers and human robots at Amazon and I applaud anyone that deals with it for the sake of the check.
