Fuck anyone that tells you to check your privilege. Nobody knows anybody’s background, and nobody should be categorizes by race, gender, or anything. We are all individuals. We all have our own hardship, no matter race or gender.

I am white, I grew up in a loving home. I have had a privileged upbringing compared to many people regardless of race. But, I most definitely got picked on by POC and Muslims. My brother almost got killed by a gang of boys of Pakistani origin. I still deplore Islamaphobia and general racism as I have definitely been subjected to abuse from people of the same ethnic background as me too. I only brought that up as I hate the attitude that white people can't be the victim of racism.

And I have spent a decade trying to get proper medication from the NHS, the proper treatment for my bi polar disorder. I didn't feel very privileged then. The idea of white privilege is bogus and pisses me off no end. True, lots of white folk do get a lot of the good shit in life... But plenty of other white people get left in the dust too.

People are people, no matter what race. I'd like to also add that that's not me saying "all lives matter" like a bigot that hasn't come to terms with it yet. I am pro pride, and pro learning and respecting black history. But not pro being treated like a piece of shit for being white, and assuming my life is all sunshine and everything is fine and dandy.
